Description
In Central European folklore, Krampus is a horned, anthropomorphic figure described as “half-goat, half-demon”, who, during the Christmas season, punishes children who have misbehaved. He has a bundle of sticks which are a bit threatening, and a basket to carry off the really bad children. I don’t know about you but that would be enough to bring forth the Christmas nightmares.
This is an original linocut print by myself, Janet Ashley. It will be printed to order on high quality acid free Japanese art paper using professional water based ink. Each print is hand pulled one at a time so there will be slight variations between prints. It is also numbered and signed. Only 200 prints will be made and then the original carving will go into the black box, never to be used again.
Each print is unframed and is packaged with a backing board in a protective sleeve to prevent damage.
